I know that, didn't know about workmanship and materials. If I could reasonably choose a class a motorhome it'd be either a Monaco Dynasty or Charleston.

I read that you have camped at Winton Woods. I have not camped there, but I live about 10 minutes from there and I am considering making reservations. Do you have any favorite sites? Sites to avoid?

Question regarding a HW 296; is a brake controller needed if the tow vehicle is a 14' Chevrolet Silverado 1500, V8, 4x4? Is the pup going to possibly create an unsafe towing experience?

these PUP are not that light. While you could tow it without a brake controller, why would you? A brake controller is not very expensive and assuming your truck is pre-wired, it takes 5 minutes to install.

Thanks, I understand, this will be my first camper and I wasn't sure about it, I don't want to get pressured for things at the dealership for things I don't know about, so thanks for the info.

I got a brake controller installed today. I have a 4 Dr 2007 1500 silverado. Stops like a champ. Def. Worth the money and safety.

if it has electric brakes, then a brake controller is required by law. that's the bottom line.
if your truck has an integrated BC, then just use that.

Mine sounds like loud pink pong balls. I was surprised at how load it is. Sure wish it would have been quieter. What is disappointing is that it is impossible to watch TV when it rains out. Which is the whole reason I bring the TP anyhow.
