Question Roof won't close all the way

Hi everyone, first time poster long time reader. I have a 2016 rockwood 1640ltd. So far I love this little camper, tows great behind my lifted Jeep Wrangler.
When cranking the roof down it gets to within 1.5" of being closed and it's like it hits something hard and can't be pushed closed. I lubricated everything (zerks with grease and silicone spray on the lift posts). I can't push it closed at all, I can lift one corner by hand and let it drop and it sounds like it hits something solid. If I crank the roof all the way back open then back down it shuts and latches fine 95% of the time. Once it took me almost an hour of closing and opening before it finally shut. There is nothing visually in the way that I can see, unless something is inside the wall.
Anybody else run into a similar problem? I don't want to go back to the dealer unless absolutely necessary ( it's over 1.5 hours away and I did not have the best purchasing experience there). So I'd rather try to figure this out without them.
Any ideas? Thanks for any info you can offer.
