shore line power issue

The indicator LED blue lights on my 30 Amp shore line cord and cover attached to my camper is not lit up indicating there is no power. Does anyone have some ideas why this may be occurring?

I did find a faulty GFI, which I replaced and all outlets now work still no blue LED lights on.

I also disconnected the battery to make sure no other power was connected while trouble shooting the shore power. I Then turned on lights and ceiling fan and checked all outlets, which all worked. When I disconnected the shore power cord, the lights ceiling fan and outlets powered off. So there does appear to be shore power coming into the camper but still no the blue LED lights coming on my 30 amp cord and cover attached to the camper?

I'm thinking maybe the LED lights went out on both the cord and cover?

What kind of rig do you have? If you are getting power to everything while plugged into shore power then it sounds like the LED burned out although I have to say I don't think my shore power plug has an LED indicator light on it. Did you double check all the fuses at the converter and the breaker switches?

Those LEDs are notorious for failing and have nothing to do with the power cords ability to power the RV. Nothing to be concerned with.

Fuses all were good! Crazy that both LEDs on both the cord and inlet cover failed...

We bought our 228 in late August and the blue LED indicator light lasted about 2 weeks (1 trip). The LED on the power cord still worked when we winterized, but the cover light was short-lived! Does anyone know if that LED can be replaced without replacing the entire cover assembly? It was actually a really nice feature because you could tell at a glance if the trailer was getting shore power.

It can but not easily.
I took one apart and the LED is soldered on a little 10¢ pc board.
The board was corroded and damp.
There are better ways to see if you have power than something that only works for a few weeks after new.

Thanks for the redirect fonzie! That was helpful. That brought me to the conclusion that it seems like too much trouble for this non-electronic repair guy!

I took it apart and to find it hot glued in and when I tried taking the light out I broke the wire. What a pain in the ass! Anyway, I purchased a new inlet from Forest River $30.

I was told by dealer where we bought our rig that the blue light on the plug and the rig indicated that the polarity in the pylon was correct. Is that true or is that fiction?

Some Furrion plugs/receptacles indicate polarity problems but I think if it has a single blue LED it simply indicates having power.

Don't expect the LED's to last long. Mine lasted about a year and many others have indicated even less.

The cords and receptacles work just fine after the indicators quit.

The blue LED light is simply an indicator that burned out which did not affect the supply of power. I contacted Furrion at support@furrion.com and Im waiting for a new cord to be delivered as it has 5year warranty.
