Shower Head

Hey all, I have just purchased a 2004 Flagstaff 228. The shower head is missing, would anyone know what size I need to replace it? The threaded size to screw it in is what I'm looking for.

I believe the shower head in the RV world is pretty universal. We replaced the hose and head in our 31HW with one right off the shelf from Camping world. They only sold one size. We didn't like the hard plastic hose and it was a better deal for the stainless metal hose with adjustable head as a set rather then separate. The metal hose is longer and more flexible.

Do yourself a favor and buy this shower head. You will love it. Great pressure over the standard head.

I bought the oxygenics and love it, but the hose could stand to be much more pliable. I thought it would become so with use, but it hasn't. I'm thinking of replacing it with a metal hose.

I agree on the hose.
We purchased one in the brushed nickle version. The hose was so stiff we could not even use it. I had to hook the head to the original hose to even try it. We didn't care for it and it actually uses MORE water than the factory head.
We sent it back. I'm still looking for something better than the inexpensive factory head/hose but have yet to come across one.

I know many people on here love the Oxygenics but I'm in the other camp.

You could just get your outside shower head and put it inside. I have never used the outside shower head but I have not had the need to use it in the 2 years I have had my camper (228 BH). Just a thought until you get the shower head that you are looking for.

are the fittings just like a home shower? i like the shower head i bought for my house that added pressure, would like that in the camper.

Yes, the size is standard but the flow is not. You need something with water flow restriction but pressure increase like the Oxegenics head. The issue on a high flow shower head in an RV is the 6 gallon hot water tank. You can run through 6 gallons pretty quick but with "Navy shower" guidelines, it is manageable.
