On our 228bh popup, the sink drain has a pretty noticeable kink when the galley is in the up position. In the down position, the hose looks normal and it doesnt look like there's any damage to the hose. The sink drains a little slow, but things seem to drain ok. See attached photos... is this normal for this popup?
I have never looked, primarily since the drain always drained as fast as the water flow from the faucet. So, no reason to look.

Ours has the flip over style, but ours kinks as well. Not sure if it is "normal", but you are not alone. I'm concerned about the hose splitting where it kinks.
I went to ACE and bought a non-kinkable hose, it works great Make sure of the size, I carried a piece of the old hose with me. I first went to Lowes to see what they had, but they sent me to ACE, they said that is what Lowes does when they need a good hose.

Cut it and replace with a 90* plastic pluming connector/joint...
Jim, on your keyboard, if you hold down the Alt key and type 0176 on your numeric pad, you get a ° when you release the Alt key. Cool, huh?
