Storage trunk Limit?

so the sticker on my storage trunk says "Max 150 lbs"
anyone have an idea as to why?

its an awfully big area and well it was raining today so there was not much to do, I got out my scale and spent 20 min or so weighing all the stuff i got in there. List below,

I could get rid of some things like the leveling blocks, as I have a Bal Leveler, and I could move the water hose and power cords to the storage under the dinette but is it really necessary? I have a feeling its set at 150 as to not affect the tongue weight too much.
by the book tongue weight is 292 and my TV can take 450 with a max trailer weight of 4900

Trailer Dry Weight 2627 (yellow sticker info)
Cargo Capacity 608
Water Weight 167

Chair 1 9.2

Grill 18
Trash Can 2.4
Level 2.4
Grey Water hose 5
stabilizer pads 2.6
Table 19.6
Leveling blocks 11.2
Tool kit 8
2 Lanterns 10.8
Stove 10.8
Security items 6.8
storage tote 12
Power cord 1 7.4
Mat 4.5
BAL Leveler 15
extra hose 3.4
power cord 2 8.8
Total 173.5

I don't think the 23 extra pounds would matter that much. Yep based on total tongue weight. I take it you have towed with all this equip on board. So howed it handle? Later RJD

Actually no I have not towed it loaded like that yet.
It only had the grill, chairs and tote for its first trip, dealer to home 140 miles and it was totally fine.
Everything else has been Amazon purchases or hand me downs from dads camper.

If it's only going to affect young weight iAm not got spend too much time worrying about it as I know my tv can handle it, I have air bags to level it out and as yo can see carry a level with me

I was told by the dealer that they put it on because people would load it with fire wood.
We use it for clothing. Never weighed it but probably closer to 200lb for us. We leave the clothes and and pull out what we need for the day. Keeps the kids from rummaging thru the bags and making a mess.
Yes it affects the tongue weight. But I figure if I travel with a full water tank(behind the axle) I balance out. One of these days I will weigh it.
It toes fine with my truck(chairs grill wood and coolers go there.
