Has any replace a suburban thermostat for the heater (slide gauge type ) with digital one or something easier to set?

A lot of folks get rid of the cheap stats and put on a digital you can check some old threads on it. Most folks just go to lowes or HD to buy a replacement. They seem to be very pleased with them a lot more accurate. just type in the Forum Search box, you will see alot that will come up. Even the brands and some wiring diagrams to due it. It's very common and you can get them cheaper then at an RV store.

Nope, just one less wire to connect. Be careful though, some thermostats are 24 volt powered, some battery added. Easiest to buy one at a RV shop.

Some links for you:

I used a LUX T-stat on our popup, Hunter on the Hybrid and TT and all were very easy to do. Get one from Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes.

This is true VinceU but you will pay at least double for a replacement stat. But on the plus side the wires should be the same, and then the battery would only be holding the display.
