Hello, is there anyone out there using one of these, if so what are your thoughts on it?

I have one and use it on my HW276. I like it. Can level side to side real quick. Also acts as a wheel chock.

Yep, best invention for both leveling and chocking at the same time! Highly recommended.

Do you find it is hard to crank up? I had a HW256 which is about the same weight as your HW276 and I had a hard time cranking it up. I was also one of the owners who got one of the units from a bad batch of welds. The plate that cradles the tire broke off on the first use. I e-mailed the company and they sent me a new one free of charge. I had a buddy weld the broken one and now have two.

I just felt like the HW256 was a bit too heavy for the Leveler. Do you feel that way?

I love the concept of it. My new camper will have dual axles and I cannot use it.

Vin.

After a battery and a propane tank it should be the next item on the purchase list. Was one of the best things ever invented for popups. My 9yr old can level our trailer with it while wife and I start to set camp. They should almost come stock with the trailer. All who have seen mine in action want one or now have one and my Dad is jealous it won't work on his. 5er.

Just keep the screw lubed well and keep a guard on it when not actually turning. I use a short piece of pool noodle.

Just ordered mine. Should get it next week. The only concern is how it works on gravel/dirt.

I thought about that also, you could use a ply wood base to rest the lever unit on.

I went a little simpler - got the Leveler orange Lego blocks ($30 at Walmart). Got a stick on bubble level calibrated in inches ($3), and attached to front panel with camper leveled. I simply read out the inches I need, which translates to how many blocks high, put them behind the low wheel and back on.

The Leveler blocks have a wide variety of uses besides leveling the camper, so I am happy with carrying the nylon case of 12 blocks.

Not knocking the high tech solution - just saying there are good alternatives.

So far mine (BAL) has worked fine on concrete, pavement, gravel, compact dirt, and sandy clay. Best of all: if level needs a tweak at any point all you have to do is turn a wrench a couple of times. Used to use blocks but am glad to be rid of them now. No more forward and back on blocks to get it perfect. Just park wherever you want and slide it under the low side. Seconds later you are level.

I have camped on ever surface from sand, gravel, clay and just plain old dirt (never did concrete or asphalt) and have never had a problem. And like mentioned above, if off level a day or two later due to settling, go out and give it a crank up or down and re-level in a few minutes. A lot easier than hooking up the trailer and adding some blocks.

Well the BAL leveler works great in the driveway but DW had a girls weekend and the site was dirl/gravel they had a hard time putting into place but got it 90% and it worked, but we parked the pup in grass yard to unload and I went to install the BAL level to level the pup off so i can turn the fridge on and get ready for this weekend, I could only get the first 2" of the BAL under the tire BAL will slide in place like it does on driveway (cement) im thinking plywood could throw off the level and can be kinda bulky to haul. carpet is cheap and can be placed at steps if not using. just my 2 cents. im bringing my anderson leveler just in case but i should be able to use the BAL.

We use the BAL leveler with our HW277. Love it. There are times we cannot get the BAL around the tire, usually when on sand or in the yard. have no problems on harder camping pads. when I do have that problem, I have used the car jack with my handy dandy drill and socket to lift the camper just enough to slide the BAL around the tire. have no problems once the leveler is around the tire....

lubrication is the key to keeping it working smoothly.

Yeah was thinking of jacking it up just a little but no jack right now. Looking for a bag so I can lube it up.

I did not have much luck with it trying to raise my HW256. It ended up breaking the plates right off on the first lift. Just broke the welds right off. I had to have a welder fix it. Company was good about it and sent another one. But in the meantime I learned how to use wood boards and figured they worked just fine. BAL's have been in the garage since 2005.

My Bal leveler is one of the best accessories I have purchased for our 6504 Vibe.
