Top fridge vent

Got a question for all.. What did u do to cover the vent on top of the fridge. I installed the vent screens on the bottom vents. Do they make a kit or did u take off the cover and cut a piece for behind it. I cut screens for the hot water vents instead of buying the,I just hope it don't slow the heat from going out. Don't need any bee's to have as pets in there.....thanksClick image for larger version

Just put screen behind it, If your worried about over heating, go to lowes or somewhere and look at there foundation vents that have more sq. in's in the opening and then paint it. It looks like a foundation vent to me. Some even come with screen in them already.

Ok I took the vent off very carefull so I didn't bend it and cut a piece of screen for it. Put it back on and can't tell I even touched it. So all vents r now screened. Thanks for the replies and it looks cleaner then using all those camco kits on the outside. Now the bee's will go to someone else's popup not mine!!! LolClick image for larger version

Well you did a nice job, That shouldn't cut down on your air flow, and it sure will stop those unwanted visitors....

If you can find screen with 1/8 square grid it will provide better air flow. Also you can add a small ( 4" to 6") 12V computer style fan controlled by a switch behind the top vent. I used one in my last trailer ( mainly during the day) and it improved cooling significantly.

1/8" square grid will keep honey bees out, but mud daubers and wasps will go right on in.
