Travel with cassette toilet full of fresh water?

After quite a few trips traveling with the Thetford cassette toilet fresh water reservoir full, I noticed the manual recommends against this and instead encourages filling at the camp site. It's much more convenient for me to fill at home than to take a tank of water with me, but I go down some pretty bumpy back roads and perhaps should quit doing this.

What is everyone else's experience?

I had one in a popup for two years and never had a problem filling at home. It's probably so it doesn't manage to slosh out and get into the cabinet if the road is too bumpy. If that was the case for me, I'd just 2/3 fill it and see how that worked.

We have a classic 625D PUP. We have the make toilet. It holds a few gallons. I usually have it 1/2 full or so when we leave for trips. Then fill it up at the campground. This year, we have been on some rather bumpy roads leading into the campgrounds. We haven't had any issues with it leaking. Good luck
