We did not, just used an external tote. Makes it easy to dump when we are camping for more than a weekend.

Is there a reason you don't want to use an external tote?

I have an external tote as well but never need it on a weekend trip, even with 2-5 kids with us. Longer stays I have taken it and used it.

I have a 2008 Rockwood HW296, the spec online says its a 6 gal grey water, it has a separate tank for the shower. It fills up too fast from normal sink use.
I don't have an external tote (yet) and I'm not against it...it just seems like an easy upgrade to do, I'm surprised no one has responded who has done this yet.

Yes, it is small. Just never thought about changing it out. The external tote was not an issue at all for us. And we would have needed the external anyway for our week long trips as we don't often get sewer hookup.

We have a 12 gallon grey water tank on my HW27SC. I have a 25 gallon barrel in the back of my pickup. With a pump, I transfer the grey water to the barrel and drain at the dump when necessary. We travel, and are usually in and out during the day anyway. I prefer this over hauling the tote to the dump station. Takes up about as much room and I find it easier to deal with. Just my preference.
