Used HW 277 questions

Good Day,

I just bought a new to me 2014 Rockwood HW 277 today. I noticed two issues this evening when I set it.

One the door did not seem to fit in the upper fastners and the roof had to be lowered and raised multiple times to get it there even though the guide wire was tight. What could be the cause of this?

Second When I pulled out the slider the whole for the cotter pins did not line up. I had to lift and push on the slider to get the pins through. Also I noticed that the small piece of wood between the rail and the side was broken. It appears the slider is rubbing on the top which caused the wood to splinter at one of the screws. It is still there hanging on by a screw. Has anyone else noticed a problem here and is so what can I do to fix it.

I did get an extended warranty through route 66 but I am not sure if this will be covered.

Thanks

How are you leveling the trailer?........sometimes a unleveled trailer can create fit issues with doors. Using the stabilizer jacks to level the trailer can create big time fit issues with doors and slide outs.

that's what i was thinking, based on my two popups. not knowing better, i used the stabs to level and often had door issues, bed slides and roof issues, until i learned to use levelers under the tires and not the stabs.
