When we had our fifth wheel we boon docked in a wal-mart. With a pop up that we have to unhook due to the bed is too long to pull out with the car hooked. Anyone stay over night with there pop up unhooked?

I haven't yet, I am going to see if my HW front bunk will clear the tailgate on my pick up. If not I will have to unhook.

While admittedly I've never stayed in a WalMart parking lot, which may be somewhat level, I've always had to unhook the pup to level it due to boon docking out in the... well... boondocks. I actually prefer to unhook so I can move my tv (pickup) to unload, go fishing, get firewood, etc. Not sure why you're asking, but hope this helps.

I understand what you are asking but I am not sure why you are worried.

If you need to unhook to use the bed then by all means do so.

As long as you ask the manager on duty if it is ok to overnight and it is then unhook and get a good night rest.

We always ask and most times someone takes us to our spot. We always had a fifth wheel not a pop up. If Wal mart did not except pop up's we would just find a campground. When pulling from Pa. to Yellowstone we just drove pulled in got 5 hrs. sleep and hit the road. Our fifth wheel had water and we could shower we do not have that with our pop up. Now we will do one night in Wal mart and the next night a campground.
