Water and Dometic Awning

I have a new Viking 2308 that came with the standard Dometic bag awning. The day after a heavy rain, I noticed water dripping from the awning bag. Water is getting in the bag and I I dont know if that is normal. Looks like I will have to do something with the awning to prevent mold from growing, but I would have thought it would be waterproof/resistant.

anyone else have this issue?

When I owned my 2000 Coleman Westlake, I had the same issue. I eventually found the leaks were where the bag and track were fastened to the roof. I took the whole thing off, and re-installed with new bag, caulk, and epoxy (where screw holes were stripped and/or had cracks). My Westlake had the one piece Royalex roof, so keeping/fixing water leaks through the outer skin was imperative.

The bag is supposed to be waterproof. Might try installing a new bag,
