Water heater tank

I'm looking at flushing my 6gal water heater. I've watched a couple videos on youtube (I like rvgeeks) they say use pure white vinegar but I'm having a hard time finding it. Most stores have distilled vinegar. Can I use that just use a 60/40 mix rather then 50/50?

All vinegar is distilled, I bought a case 4 bottles at Sams for under $6.00. I drained my freshwater tank and the filled with all 4 gals and 4 gals of water, drained the heater and the filled by using the onboard pump. I let it sit for 24 hours, then drained and flushed everything with fresh water. Hope this helps.

Thank you Broadway joe. That's what I was going to do just didn't know if I should try and find pure vinegar or if distilled if fine. Rvgeeks from youtube says pure I'm just having a hard time finding it.

What I think they are trying to convey is don't use cider, wine or any other type of not straight vinegar.
