Water water everywhere

We got the bed to slide finally and went for our first long trip. We were sure to add a pressure coupler to the hose and hooked up city water.
That's when it started to pour out the bottom of the camper!
I put the sink down and could see the water had sprayed underneath, I'm assuming a hose came loose or a fitting.
So now at home I removed the screw from the panel under the stove but it wont budge and I can't see any clips. Seems to be stuck at the floor.

Anyone know how to remove the panel without damaging anything? ( I've tried to attach a picture of the panel I'm talking about. I believe it's the way into the plumbing. Sorry it's turned 90 deg.)

Also, is there a plumbing schematic for the pop-up on this forum?

My Trailer is a 228BH, and it is a bit different, but that panel on my trailer has two screws; one top, one bottom. So when you say "removed the screw" did you look at the very bottom?
And it looks like a screw at the very bottom in the photo.

I hadn't seen the bottom screw. Interesting that it was rusted! The picture below shows what I found... (Tilt your head 90 deg to left)

I'm assuming this is some sort of filter housing. Seems the dealer didn't test the water although I dimly remember turning on the water and having no problems, could this have been sheared off from ice? Perhaps I should have taken it off during the winter storage? It barely frosted here last winter though.

Does anyone have a good source for replacement parts?

Try Roberts Sales. They have a lot on their website and if you don't see it, you can always call. I have found them to be knowledgeable and helpful. Good luck.

Who has/has Not Winterized this unit since New? There has also never been a Element inside the filter? Youroo!!

My filter housing failed like this during the winter while full of RV antifreeze. Then again we did get down to 10 below. Better it failed then though.

Bypass it and use an external filter.

True they fail,but the OP didnt know how to gain access to the Filter assy, thus NOT "Draining/Knowing" if the canister had "Water/Diluted A/F" which leads to Failure also! Some/Lots of Members don't even know "If/Where" their Water Filters are! Youroo!!

I guess I missed the part when we picked it up about the filter housing retaining all it's water so it must have frozen and cracked. We bought a new one for our next trip and I won't forget to empty/remove it this winter! Cost was $51. I like the idea of bypassing it, since it needs to be serviced with a filter and emptied once a year you woud think the cover plate would have a snap design rather than screws. I may took at a modification for that as well.

We have a water heater, sink and outdoor shower. I have not included the capped lines I assume are for a bathroom.

As far as the water problem: Both filters hold water even after the lines are drained, so these need to be emptied or removed for winter storage.

X2 on ditching the house filter and go with the external. And don't forget the pressure reg.

All they installed on the 228 was the small particle filter with a metal (or aluminum) element attached to the pump's inlet.
However, the pump instructions do say to remove the element filter prior to winterizing with anti-freeze. However, the small particle filter with a metal element can remain.
