Weekend at Fundy National Park

We had a great weekend at Fundy National Park in New Brunswick, Canada. Set up Friday, had a great site, was quiet as not to many campers out yet. Saturday was sunny and beautiful, went for a couple walks on the trails. Bunnies everywhere! (He tells me they are Hares lol) One came about 3feet away from where we were sitting by the fire to bad it was to dark for a photo. The night got a little wild when the winds picked up, gusting to about 52km, poor trailer was rocking pretty good, trying to sleep was a bit tricky with the bunk lifting a bit, we wondered if we were going to end up on our side by morning lol. Was fun though!

Looks like a nice quiet campground. Those are the best. The crazy loud ones are not all that fun.

Vin.

Yes, this is a very nice campground, it's one of our favorites! Quiet and clean well taken care of. It does get a little busier in the heat of the summer. Friendly staff that keep the bathrooms clean and keep right on top of any complaints. Lots of trails from easy to difficult something for everyone. There is a nice little village minutes away with all the seafood you can eat lol. Well worth a visit if you are ever this way!

George-Lisa, we are planning to head to your part of the world this summer. We will be traveling from Florida. We plan to leave late July in hopes of finding some cooler weather and lots of lobsters. We will hung out up there for 6 weeks to 2 months. Any heads up for PEI Mova Scotia and New Brunswick appreciated. We love good food and great scenery. I've hear you have it all there.

Lol V-lite I know what you mean about the iPad, autocorrect is not your friend sometimes lol...

There are some gorgeous campgrounds here in the maritimes, first of all in New Brunswick Fundy National is a must, the views are amazing and you can get lobsters not even 5mins away! Close by is the flower pot rocks of Hopewell Rocks where the tides rise 20-25 feet it's amazing, mactaquac provincial park is beautiful, with a golf course if you're into that new river beach provincial park is not to far from Calais Maine, beautiful bay of Fundy beach!
Nova Scotia is beautiful, Kejimkujik national park & national historic site is Great! Also the Cape Breton highlands with the Cabot trail is a wonderful drive.. Joggins Fossil cliffs is our next adventure can't wait to check that out. And of course being a maritime province seafood is on every corner lol
And in PEI Marco Polo land is a super nice campground, there is lots to see and do to experienced the culture and red sands of Pei, North Rustico is a quaint fishing town with never ending seafood lol. And cavendish check out the Anne of Green Gables!

To help plan your your trip you can google Toursim New Brunswick, Camping in Prince Edward Island & Novascotia.com there is so much to see and do I can't think of it all
When you're in our neighbourhood drop us a line!

Thank you so much for the info. I sounds like we will be able to get a daily seafood fix. Can't get enough of it. We will map out the things you suggested.

have the provincal parks discontinued their alcohol free status's yet?
We used to go to funday when our kids were younger and i actually have postcards from the early days when you could see the main building at the end of the road at the bottom - from the top.
Great golf course and in Alma they had the best ever Stickey Buns.

all the trails in the Fundy park are awesome to hike from ones a short distance to the full 55 kms.

Highest tides in the world are a must see.

Lol, yes the alcohol bans have been removed, only time they are in effect is the May long weekend. I think they were just having to much trouble with excessive alcohol use. Alma still sells them sticky buns, yummy! Oh yes can't forget about those trials a nature lovers paradise! Would love to see those old postcards, I don't think I ever have. Can you post a pic?
We live very close to those tides and can witness it on a regular basis it still never ceases to amaze us!
