Ages of kids? Cards- you can play a number of different games ie rummy, war, poker, speed, etc. You can get uno or phase 10 also. We found a small lightweight corn hole set at target a couple of years ago. ladderball.

Hoverkraft. No batteries required and hardly weighs anything. Keeps both adults and kids busy for hours. Think of a variation of Jenga played on a floating platform. The two action shots about half way down were taken by my son as my DIL and I were playing.

Love these ideas. No little ones traveling with us, but good ideas to keep DH busy in the evenings without the tv on!

I carry cards, Chutes & Ladders, Sorry and Monopoly. Plus a set of Flower Cards for Asian friends. Just read that lawn darts have been outlawed so will not take anymore.

Only if your lawn darts are an old set with the metal tips (like from the 70s). Those were outlawed years ago (1988). The new versions are made of plastic and and i don't think these are banned.

I will be 73 Saturday and our darts are the old nasty kind. Plenty of supervision when kids are around and NO GOAL TENDING!!!

Uno is a great card game. Always have a set in our rig. For more activity, try Ladder Golf - it breaks down to nothing and is very lightweight (unlike our other addiction Corn Hole )

Can jam is always fun for all ages. Uno scrabble and cards are all good.
And we carry paints and canvas for other distractions.

Our standby game is Rumolli... We like it because it's one of those games that allows for any number of players and you can put a time limit on it. If you need to get little ones to bed.

I remember that we used to have a set of those back in the 70s. Did not have them long, though i don't know what my folks did with em.

Maybe you aught to get a legal set......and happy birthday....
