What is this switch?

Just got back from my first trip with our new pop-up (Forest River Rockwood 1910). One thing is bothering me though.
There's an on/off switch under one of the seats that I can't quite figure out what it does. When I picked it up from the dealer he didn't know either but I figured it would be easy enough to figure out once it was up... no such luck.

Forgot to take a picture of it but attached is the location from a photo I found online.

Any ideas?

It looks like my awning control switch. Could it be for an option you didn't get? Strange the dealer didn't know. I'd call the service dept and ask them.

It's hard to tell without a better pic...could be the hot water heater switch if it has an indicator light...could be the water pump switch...What's under that seat?

It's not an awning switch, as all pups have manual bag awnings....

If not marked, is the converter under the cushion? If so, just follow the wire back to the fuse panel. On mine there are two switches at that location, water heater and water pump.

Is your camper equipped with a fresh water tank? If so that could be the swicth for you fresh water pump, I have a Rockwood 1970 and that is where my switch is located.

My guess is the water heater switch. In a lot of the smaller RV's, that's a popular spot for the water heater. The water pump would be the other answer, but you would hear that right away if you turned it on, provided the fresh water tank was full.

I ran into the same thing. Mine will shut off the water pump. Try running your water at sink...tank side, and flip the switch to see if it shuts off. We were camping and the water tank went empty while running the tap water and the pump wouldn't shut off, that's when I discovered what it shuts off.

It your water pump. On mine I shut off when towing and storing. I ran out if water camping and the pump will jeep running, that switch will shut it off.

If you can pull a better pic of it we might be able to offer better opinions.

Usually the hot water heater is labled as such and has a red problem light next to it.

Vin.
