It is to hold your cargo door open, looks like possibly it is on backwards, or you have another cargo door other than the one seen in the picture

My wife's son just bought a new flagstaff tent trailer and has one sitting beside the front door that holds nothing at all. He asked the same question. Maybe the factory had extras to get rid of.

Too high for the top of the cargo door. Plus the cargo door opens the other way. Too far away to hold the main door open. Hhhmmmmmmm puzzled..............

Yes it seems really out of place on the tent trailer. Yes they have a storage door that opens upward. I guess it can be a spare if you need one.

They don't want it to fall off.

Seriously, looks like a bit of overkill as the bracket is no doubt plastic.
