When should you level a hw 296?

Before or after opening the camper up? Where should the level be?

Level side to side chock the wheels then front to back, run the stabs out and then open it.

I bought a small one, like one you would use to level pictures on a wall.

I use these.

RV Designer Collection E401 Level Stick On - Pair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003YJNN2G..._THrBvb1T1T05D

They stick on really easy so the hard part is getting your unit on a level surface before sticking them on.

I had one at the top of the diamond plate in front and one at the left front corner next to the tire info.

For a popup you should level it side to side and front to back then raise the roof and then put the stabilizers down then pull the beds out. If you stabilize before you open the roof the trailer could be in a bind and cause the roof supports to bind up while opening.

Remember also that the stabilizer jacks are not to be used to level the trailer

Why would they bind if the trailer was level?
