Who uses the outdoor shower?

I have an indoor and outdoor shower on my Flagstaff SE 228BHSE, but have not used the outdoor shower yet. If you use yours, do you use a pop up shower outside and what do you put on the ground, so you are not standing in mud?

an outdoor 'faucet' is not really an outdoor 'shower', as they may be known as, though I guess you could 'try' to use it for that. I consider it a place to wash my hands after dumping the tanks, or even better, a way to know if the water is flowing thru the coach after I've hooked up to shore water, or whether the water pump is working from the water tank....
but, no, never, ever used is as a 'shower' : / that's just weird!

My outdoor shower head and control faucet is exactly the same as my inside shower/controls. I have since changed my inside head and controls to something better but showering outside would have been the same experience as showering inside.

A few trailers back, we had a pop-up stall that stood next to the outside shower that we used for the kids to shower off after the beach or the pool. We threw a teke (wood) floor mat on the ground to stand on. It worked well and kept a lot of mess out of the bathroom.

At certain campgrounds or remote areas we will. There's nothing better than being out in Mother nature showering all natural.

We have a small wooden platform we use. At home our shower is on our backyard deck. Neighbors just laugh.

We will use ours when we are at the beach and maybe a few other places. We have a homemade shower stall made from a 2-shower curtains, curtain hooks and a hula-hoop. We hang it right beside the outdoor shower using a tree or some command hooks that we can remove from the side of the 5th wheel. It weighs about 2 pounds. We also have a homemade wooden deck made from pallet boards to stand on.

This allows us to not fill up the grey tank taking indoor showers and to not fill out tank with sand/dirt.

We’ve only used ours to hose off muddy kids, etc... It is a benefit to be able to do that with warm water vs the cold only you’d get from a normal tap.

My camper actually has the same shower head and controls as the inside shower outside, in addition to a separate outside coil hose with spray nozzle for rinsing things.

I've used it mostly for outdoor cleaning of grills, skillets and other greasy items too large for the small space in the kitchen. Occasionally the grand kids need rinsing off too.

Outdoor shower head is great to wash your hair when boondocking or when you just need to cool off on a really hot day.

That's hilarious. As long as I can't see it from my campsite.

I have personally never used it, but we do have an inflatable shower stall, not sure where we got it. My mom's side of the family has a family camping weekend every year, and my uncle (mom's brother) is in a wheel chair. Even campgrounds that have handicapped equipped bathrooms leave much to be desired. So we have used it a few times for my uncle to take a shower. Inflate the stall, we put a plastic lawn chair in there, and create a "shower room" with some deliberately placed vehicles, bungees, and tarps, and voila. Other than that, I cant think of a time either my wife or I have ever used it (other than when making sure the pink stuff is flowing out...lol). Generally, they dont get much use from too many people, but there are occasions that it serves its purpose. (To clarify how it all works, because I'm sure some people are wondering, when we have the camping weekends we choose campgrounds that have "safari fields", which allows us to set up the vehicles and tarps and everything, they arent the typical sites with trees and obstructions)

We often camp near the beach with a big, furry dog. Yes, the outside shower can be very handy!

We use our, with a plastic tote from Walmart, to give the dog a bath when we are on the road and can't get to our groomer. With both hot and cold water, it works much better than trying to use a hose or take her inside for a bath.
