Winterizing a HW296

Try youtube no videos on a hw296 but winterizing is the same as on a TT other then a faucet or 2. What are you looking for?

I've got a HW 25S which I need to winterize. Seems pretty straightforward, but I'm not sure about how the water heater works, bypass valves, etc. This is our first year with the camper and the instructions we have seem to be light on the details. Do I need to pump the antifreeze in or do I have a water pump? I'm assuming I don't have a pump and will need to do it manually.

That is mine, I do not know if your unit has a like system but it may.

Water heater by pass valves are on the backside of the WH look to the inside of yours to locate them, under a seat or bed or in a cabinet.

tshawn you can pump antifreeze in from the hose connection or you could install a winterizing valve (but it's alot of work up front but will be very easy every year from now on) and you winterize the water pump.

Does the slid out have to come out to winterize the unit? Reason I ask I have the unit in storage and giving rain this weekend. I can raise it just not enough room to open the slide out.

Depending on model yes you do. My hw276 I need to so I can get to the bath/shower and the low drain points.
