Winterizing a pop up.

Hello all. Hope everyone had a great time camping this year. My question is do I remove the little filter that is on the water pump before I put anti freeze in? And i know to take out my water filter. Any advice would be awesome.

Either way. I never took mine out. I want to say it's just wire mesh.

Actually...I lied. In the pop up mine came out, but that was just because I put a winterizing kit on it and there wasn't enough clearance for both where it was located. I don't on the new trailer and it has the same pre filter on the pump.

That's about it...pull the household filter (that one WILL get gunked up) and bypass and drain the water heater. Other than that..not much too it.

Do I open any of the drains and let some of the anti freeze out? I forgot to ask that.

It's s good idea to poor a little down the drains. If you have a cassette toilet, put some in there as well.

Just empty the freshwater completely then add just enough to get it to flush. Mainly to keep the pump in it and those little lines from freezing. People forget about those toilets since they're not connected to the main water system.
