Winterizing for Idiots!!!!

So... I live in Louisiana and I bought my first popup last year. We had it pretty cold this winter. I didn’t realize your supposed to winterize popup’s. I use to have a ski boat so I get winterizing that obviously but apparently not so much with a popup. Not to mention that I would rather camp in winter and fall so my question is.... how do you winterize idiot proof for the winter but with the ability to use it during the winter too?

Long story short I have a 2018 Flaggstaff. We went camping 2 weeks ago and upon hooking up the water the inside flooded. I found where the plastic water filter thingy exploded. I ordered the replacement part but I can’t find any utube videos to show me how to winterize or at what point I need to consider winterizing the popup or how to do this idiot proof. Any guidance is appreciated!!!!

Blow out the lines with compressor, pour rv antifreeze in sink traps (toilet too if you have one), drain the hot water tank if you have one. Completely remove the filter housing (trash it) and reconnect the two lines with a cheap coupler from Home Depot..

For a pop-up and mild winter, you should be able to get away with just blowing out the lines. My wife and I can do my 40’ fifth wheel in about 15 minutes (most of which is getting stuff together!).

Even if you pushed anti-freeze into the lines, it should only be a few dollars for a bottle of antifreeze (maybe 2, but I doubt it).

See if this helps:

It's very simple. Remove all water from the piping system. That's it. Empty all tanks, piping (use compressed air). Sink drains. You can put RV antifreeze in the sink drains a toilet.
