X Chock?

Anyone use these on a HW296? If so do you use 2 or just one? How well they work?

We have a 2016 hw296 and use 2 x choke on our trips. Really stabilizes the pup better than when we used just one. My DH is like a bull in a China shop. Need all the stabilization I can get.

Lakecumberland, I don't have your rv but I use 2 x-chocks with out TH which sits pretty high (three steps entry) and they take about 95% of the shake out front to back. much better than when I was just using ground chocks. I think you will be very pleased with them.

Yes these fit the 296 just fine. But I believe they may come in 2 sizes which a didn't know when a bought them. I don't know what size we purchased. Sorry

X-chocks Get Loose when Leveling Trailer

We have used X-chocks on the last 2 trailers, and been pleased. I get them tight to hold trailer in place before un-hitching. However, I stopped using them on current trailer because, even when I get them very tight, after the LCI Ground Control 3 (6 point) leveling system completes leveling the trailer... the X-chocks are VERY loose. I fear that if I tighten up after leveling they will be so tight when levelers go up, to leave, that I can't get them loose. I also fear that with much slope that the trailer may roll as the trailer is being leveled. Does anyone else have this issue?

Are the tires off the ground or have very little contact with the ground?

If they are really Bal X Chocks, you should be able to loosen them regardless with the ratchet wrench furnished with them. When the trailer is leveled, it is releasing pressure on the suspension and the axles move apart slightly especially if it has torsion axles. Not so much on spring suspended axles.

They are all on the ground. If it lifts them any, it is not much. It appears to flex the suspension and make the tires just a little further apart... does not take but a small amount to make the X-chock loose

We have springs... It appears to flex the suspension and make the tires just a little further apart... does not take but a small amount to make the X-chock loose
