Post Your thoughts (PuP cover)

All,

I've heard different thoughts about covering a PuP.

Some have said that covering a RV traps/holds moisture and over time problems could occur.

Some say covering a RV in the winter months extends the life and protects it from the elements.

What do you think?

Thanks in advance,
Russell

I always covered my pup in the winter. Left enough space for air to circulate. I always used a plastic tarp. Now that I have the TT, I bought a adco "cover" that is made for its size. My understanding is most TTs and larger campers have a rubber roof. A cover, especially over the winter will extend the life of the roof. I dont think pups have the same roof covers as a tt. All that being said, if your pup is winterized and caulked well, you should be fine. A TT I would get a quality cover to extend the roof life. A covered or enclosed parking also goes a long way. My .02 worth.

Just make sure the cover is "breathable." I use one on my popup and so far no problems. Does help to keep debris off the trailer.
