Camping Kitties

Our two cats celebrated their 1-yr. birthday with a trip to Stonewall Lake Resort in W.Va. this past July. They have camped with us since they were 2 mo. old and love to travel. When we begin packing, the orange male, Fitz, notices and will go and lie down in the pet taxi. His sister, Lizzie, usually lies on top of it and waits to be loaded into the truck cab.
They're indoor cats at home (since we live in the city on a busy street), but we walk them on leashes when we camp. Fitz will walk to the door and paw at his leash, all-the-while meowing for our attention. Liz is a bit more timid than he, but she enjoys her time outside, too.

We got them a "kitty condo" to be safely outside while we sit around the camp. It was a hot day so we got a fan out to ensure we had a breeze.

Most other times they enjoy open windows and the screen door.

Or a snooze on the floor.

Thursday, the cats and we head to the Va. mountains to visit Douthat State Park and begin our fall camping season.

Sweet! My cat hates the driving part.

We have 3 cats too, can't say they like it, however, I like having them with us. We use a small 2 man tent for our cats for the outdoors.

Where did you get the kitty condo? Do they travel in it too?

I just ordered this Kitty Holster harness http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007KAYDXI/...332200_TE_item. Wiggle worm kitty could get out of the strappy kind too easily.

We got it from overstocks.com. It's too big for the truck's cab back seat so we have a separate carrier for travel.
