We travel with two Shih Tzu's, Mandi is 5yrs old, and Polly will be 3yrs in May. As soon as Mandi would hear the diesel start up OMG she would lose her little doggie mind. For a long time Mandi traveled in a doggie car sit, it was in the center of the back sit, we would put her in there and she would cry until the 5th wheel was hooked up, she was most helpful too, she would stand and look out the back window and would keep turning to look at her daddy and then back at the camper as if to say come on your almost there, as soon as we were hooked up she would lay down and go to sleep. Polly has been camping since the day we got her, we went to a trade days sale and found her so first few nights were in the camper. It is their condo on wheels and they aloud us to mover it for them.

Fred had never camped in his 6 year life until we bought the V-Lite last May. He'd shake so hard when I took him to the vet and would "blow his coat" (what they do when they're everywhere!). He took to camping like he'd been doing it his entire life, from trip one. Calm as he could be, slept on his doggie bed on the back seat of the truck.

One time we planned a trip, and were picking up the RV (in for warranty work) on the way out. He shook like crazy, thought he was gonna have a heart attack, until we got to the dealer and hooked up. Ahhhh OK, *now* I know what we're doing! Promptly laid down and went to sleep until we got to the RV park.

If age is a state of mind, and I've lost my mind, I'm AGELESS, right?

I see you're a Riders fan as well!!! I'm married to a Stumps fan so she is almost perfect!!!
We have a little yorkie (Baxter) and a Maltese /chihuahua cross (Bella) he loves truck rides but Bella not so much although she is getting better. She used to vibrate so much but the last few trips she has settled down quite a bit. They both love camping though.

At four months old Casey has spent more than twenty-five percent of her life camping and she loves all the attention she gets.

Katie and Ronan our two Scotties go crazy when the Wildcat is parked out front. Once it's loaded they head for the closet where their leads are kept and jump up and down until they are hooked up and taken to the truck. Great camping buddies!

We are fighting with this decision at this very moment. Our cat came to us two years ago from a neighbor who had basically neglected him, he was starving for love and attention, that he got here, plus he gained ten pounds, now he weighs and happy 16 pounds. He is kind of a free range,r in that he goes and comes during the day unimpeded by lock doors. At night he sleeps all night and never bothers us. When we have taken him camping, he does not like to ride and he loves going outside on his harness and leash. We expect to be gone for at least three months and do not know how well he will take to a trip of that length. We are left with very few choices, one of which is to return him to his original owners and hope for the best. What is even worse, we have sold our home where he has lived, new owners will be coming in on the 27th March, they have a dog or two, he does not like dogs. So, returning him to the original owner maybe the only option at this time. He is around eight years old and in excellent health, loves kids and people, he has also been neutered.
