Ours is five now and travels really well. She will climb up the stairs of our unit, but won't come down without help. So no worries of her running loose.

We have always camped with boxers. Just put our 12+ year old guy down this afternoon. He camped all over eastern Canada and USA and was just a trooper. We will miss him fiercely.

Had to say goodbye to our 12 y/o boxer back in 2012. Great dog. Dumb as a bucket of rocks, but so loveable and affectionate. I still miss that girl. Sorry to hear about your old boy today, mas. It gets better, but it doesn't ever go away.
