First night in the RV with Lily

I bought my RV a few weeks ago for the purpose of bringing my cat with me on my next out-of-state job. (I have to follow work right now, as a seasonal park guide/interpreter. I spent one miserable summer without her and met some full-time RVers who gave me the idea.)

Anyway, I finally got it all set up in my parents' backyard, and Lily got a look inside. We're spending the night here. It's a Wildwood 26TBSS, which I chose specifically for the potential to set up the bunks as a "pet corner." Lily slunk around investigating at first, but she found the soft bunk and open window and settled in happily. She joined me in the bedroom to watch TV later. All-in-all, Lily is a very happy camper.

(And she hasn't showed any interest in the door, open or closed. She's an indoor cat and has never been really interested in getting outside.)

Yep. ^_^ I think it will be a good set up. I have a few pet rats too. I'm getting a couple cages custom built.

She looks settled-in well. I hope my cat does as good, an orange, male tabby who looks a lot like yours. It's been a few months since your post... update??

Adorable! Perfect set up. You still have top bunk for company or storage.

She's settled in very well. We've spent every night in the camper (aside from one when I had a pet rat expecting babies and wanted her to have some peace). My dad set up a 30 amp hook-up, so I can run AC and/or space heater. I have a group of rats in a cage on the top bunk now too.

Her bunk is her favorite spot, but she likes to stay on my bed at night. She also races around with her toys and uses her scratching post.

@bodzcampers: I get that question sometimes. I'm not a language interpreter but a nature/heritage interpreter, which is the official designation of park educators/guides. My degree is in biology, but I often work in historical parks, so I've had to learn a lot of history too (mainly Civil War history).

I know this is a old thread but I like seeing how others can take their fur kids RVing. My unit is too small for me & my cat. My TT doesn't have any slide outs. Kitty is a pretty big cat and I like the RV being fur free. However, I do miss her a lot while I'm camping.
