I'm BAAAAACK!

It's been a VERY rough year for me, but next Friday I will *finally* have the surgery done to my spine! I became somewhat a recluse due to all the meds. OC and Frankie have been my cheerleaders, calling me often to check on me and for that I am thankful. (hugs to both of you!)

We lost our girl Chelsea (our Cocker) last October to kidney failure, which just broke our hearts. The BEST anti-depressant I could ever have arrived in the form of a little ball of fluff. Even our Fred was so depressed and grieving so deeply we thought we'd lose him too.

He's now bouncing around (he's 12 years old) like a puppy, playing with our newest member of the family: COOPER! Cooper has been with us on three local RV trips and took to it like the proverbial duck to water.

Now let's see if I can remember how to post a picture.

Cute dogs, so glad you're back and will be recuperating this time next week on your 39th birthday. Now you and Pete can come to FL this winter. Heck you can just drive over here and we can go to FL together.

WELCOME BACK WEEZER!

thankya thankya vury much (hugs to you and Ms Frankie)

I have an *excellent* neurosurgeon and if all goes well I'll get to go home Saturday. Two weeks totally homebound except for post-op visits, then I can even drive, but must wear the "dollar collar" for that.

Fortunately, Sneak had this same surgery years ago, so he is "schooling" me on what to expect and he'll be like a Momma Bear, making sure I don't do anything I'm not supposed to do.

EIGHT years since the injury and FINALLY I'll get my life back. Heck of a birthday present!

Doing a lot of whimpering this week OC if not for the injury, we'd be in Pigeon Forge right now.

"Buffy" is doing well. We have to take her in for a couple of lights outside that stopped working, but other than that she's workin' like a champ.

Got some waves in the roofing, but pretty sure that's expansion from the *awful* heat we've had this summer. Gonna get that checked just in case. (Hard to believe we're coming up on our 2 year warranty deadline.)

We've managed to take 'er out approximately once a month, to local parks. Sneak has even booked extra long weekends and let me and "the boys" stay while he drove back and forth to work.

THOSE are the nice, peaceful days: week days when the parks are virtually empty.

Many walks and hikes with the boys, just us and nature. But nothing like our favorite park there in Pigeon Forge.
