Kids betta fish

I see a lot of threads on traveling with dogs and cats, but anybody travel with a pet fish? The kids have a betta fish and I'm not quite sure what we'll do with him. I gather I'll put him in a giant freezer bag and then he'll ride in the kitchen sink in the trailer. Sound like the best plan?

Thanks!

-Al

You could get a nice plastic container with a tight lid. Only fill it about 2/3 of the way. If the lid is only put on tight during transit, the beta will do fine (up to 12 hours in sealed tub won't hurt). I think that would be easier than the plastic baggy. If you get a nice enough plastic container it will serve as "aquarium" too. Beta are pretty hardy fish - just don't let two males into the same space - but it is fun to watch two of them in side by side containters - they are not called "fighting fish" for nothing.
