"dog" is a good name. Doesn't matter if it is male of female.

Speaking of dog...our neighbors dog is named DeeOhGee (D O G).
Another neighbor said he'd name it "Tomara" (Yea, I'll get around to naming it tomorrow).

In the 70's, we named our pooch after the famous film actress Sophia Loren. We didn't spell it that way however... in fact I don't remember ever spelling it.

We pronounced it "SO-PEE-A-POUR-IN."

Yet another Bailey

Like "Lady" *La-dee*

My dogs name is Bailey.

But then again, we've also had a sugar (chocolate lab, her full name was Brown Sugar) and she did just fine.
Our last Basset Hound was a Bailey - but she was named for Bailey's Irish Creme! RIP, my sweet girl.

Back when I first got my cat I had a couple of names in mind but the cat ended up picking her name by only responding to "Kitty" which wasn't on the list at all.

I think Kitty would be a great name for a dog. 😊

Just imagine the looks you would get in the campground "here Kitty"

Sometimes you have to spend time with the dog before you can name it.

Our youngest dog (a shih tzu) we had for 24 hours before we came up with a name, when we got her alls she wanted to do was sit on my shoulder or wrap herself around my neck, (we were on a camp out when we got her) so the next day on our two plus hour drive home she was up on my should down on my lap around my neck, on my shoulder, I told my DH that I feel like I should be saying "Polly want a Cracker" so he said name her Polly so her name is Polly Anna, rotten little dog

I choose my grandchildren's middle names for my new pups. They are pre school. I now tell them that they were named after dogs. Really makes them mad.

We got a female Rottweiler in December and finally picked Riley. Pups are fun but one heck of a lot of work! Have fun.
