Thanks for the suggestions.

I just spent the morning working on the angle of the ramp into the Lexi. I worked out a setup that lessens the angle considerably and I believe that Brody will be able to negotiate without undo stress. The angle will be considerably less than the picture above.

We have to wait another couple of weeks before he will be allowed 'extra duties' to see if it is suitable.

I'll post a couple of pics later today to show how I have worked it out.

Oh by the way Brody seems to be recovering somewhat, walking more normally but with some weakness in the hind legs as well as some difficulty on non-rug surfaces. We have throw rugs all over the house and he uses them.

Well its been almost 3 weeks since Brody's acute symptoms and every day he improves a wee bit. He is now released to a low impact lifestyle and he will be going to therapy when we can get it set up. He is back to walking about 1 mile a day and he is gaining some strength back. Swimming is allowed as well. He is not allowed to go up or down stairs of more than 3 steps so is restricted to one floor in the house.

We have had him, with the vets OK, go up and down the ramp we fashioned for the motorhome, it works for our car as well. He can negotiate it it very well for both motorhome and car and has taken to the ramp with justo. He is now OK to travel with us!
