Said Goodbye To Our Long Time Camping Buddy Today

This is a picture of our Baxter. We had just got home from two weeks of camping with him and we had to rush him to the Vet. He had been in declining health for a short time. He was a great companion for 16 years. He loved to camp. He would get all excited when we would start loading the RV. He will be greatly missed. He brought a lot of joy to us and all that met him. He loved everyone. Never saw a stranger.

Your posts brings memories of our past and present furry family members. So wonderful to have them and so tough when they are gone.

Sorry to hear that. Brought back the memory of our rescue we had for 16 1/2 years. Never easy but the memories made always make me smile.

Take comfort in the good life you gave your Baxter and that you will be reunited again.

Our Zoey turned 11 this summer. She's definitely showing signs of growing old. I can't imagine the day we have to say good-bye to her. It will not be a good day for the entire family; especially the wife.

Sorry for your loss of Baxter.

So sorry to hear of his passing. The pain in your heart with time will be replaced by a smile on your face as you recall the joy and love your pal and camping buddy gave you.

We had to lay to rest our member of the family for 16 years, in January. I am the first to admit I always shook my head with all the fuss and love my wife gave to that dog. I was the tough old SOB who complained the dog was a big PIA. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and miss him. It's tough and a lot of us feel your loss.

Thank You

Thank you to all for such kind words everyone had to share with us.
We were going through sat night looking at most of the pictures we had taken over the years of the good times he had brought us. Yes it was a long night.
Thank you again.
