Enjoying Camping

Minatare Schnauzer brothers enjoying camping life! The smaller lighter gray one is 1 year 10 days older. Both are from the same parents, amazing how different they are.

Still trying to get the youngest to use restroom on leash. That said she has done great in not barking. The small brindle is just happy to be along for the ride.

We're holding off doing much traveling until our remaining senior (15 year old Australian Shepherd) has passed (really don't want the potential of leaving our adult son to have to deal with it if something happens while we're gone), but here's the young'uns that'll be traveling with us when we get back out again.

Ranger turned 1 year old last month. We're his fourth home in his short life. He went from his birth home to a family with small children, and unfortunately, cattle dogs can often be a bit too exuberant for small kids. His next home had a couple of older German Shepherd/Malinois mix dogs that didn't want to get along with an energetic pup, so he came to live with us.

Strider turned 6 months old on July 10th. It took about a week after bringing him home before he and Ranger decided they could be buddies, but now they're darn near inseparable. He's about as sociable a dog as we've ever had, and especially loves attention from kids (the farm where he was born had three or four kids). He's a standard Australian Shepherd, and is convinced that everyone in the world should adore him.

Judy & Dean. Both rescues. Did the DNA testing. Dean is pure bread Irish Russell Terrier. So his rap name is 100 pa-cent. Judy has a lot of different breeds in her, but 27% Chihuahua & 25% PIT BULL! was really surprised by that.

Show your Hounds!!

I’ve enjoyed seeing all the hounds!

Meet Kahlua, she’s a rescue and my first dog. 3 years old and as sassy as my lovely bride. Grew up with dogs but they were “Dads dog”.

She’s 28% pit bull terrier, 20% scaredy cat, 52% good girl, and 100% spoiled. We just happened to meet a litter mate at a campground during the summer. Absolutely wild! Kahluas in front, her littermate behind her. Click image for larger version

Our sweet boy Duke, the reason we bought our TT crossed the rainbow bridge January 3, 2023 at the young age of 14. I wanted another dog but DH didn't want one. I ended up praying and getting Gizmo (white & black). DH tried not to fall for him but he did! He ended up getting the brother Teddy (brown). So we went from 1 awesome dog to 2 sweet pups and they love to camp.

Here is Adia, she hasn't a chance to go camping yet but that will change come March. Picked her up at the local shelter back in November. She is about 11 months old and acts like it but it's getting better everyday. Good with people and most other dogs.
