We sure love our dogs. I always loved the following quote from Billy Graham.

"I think God will have prepared everything for our perfect happiness. If it takes my dog being there [in Heaven], I believe he'll be there."
Rev. Billy Graham

Here is our dog; Sandy. We rescued her from the pound (SPCA).
The vet thinks she maybe a Lab Terrier cross but he is not sure.

When we got her she was just skin and bones and terrified of all humans - It was obvious she had been beaten based on the way she coward when anyone stood over her or pick up a stick near her.

She is now a happy camper-dog. She trusts most humans; she is still a little afraid of 'some' men.

You will note in the picture of her on her bed there is a pair of my dress socks; this is how you know when she has excepted you, when she steals your clothes from the laundry and brings them to her bed. I was the last one in the family to have this honour bestowed upon them.

The beach picture was taken at Turkey Point Provincial Park (Ontario) last Aug at the dog beach. She was digging a hole to china.

Thank you for rescuing her. Many adult dogs and cats go unadopted because people want puppies or kittens. We always adopt adults and always ask who has been there the longest. Sounds like you gave her the perfect "forever" home.

This is Georgie, our 3 yr old female Border Collie, and Rocky, our 1 yr old Cairn Terrier/Maltese mix. Last year was our first year camping. They love it! I recommend lots of walks. The dogs really enjoy it and they will be good and tired when you are ready to settle in at night. If you have a barker on your hands, i.e. our Rocky, keep a water gun or squirt bottle handy. It only takes one or two "reminders" for him remember his manners and it doesn't hurt him at all.
