BrewDog Boont (the cattle dog 'youngster') hanging with our old girl Roxie for a great weekend music festival earlier this month. Out of the camper @ 8 am & not back inside til midnight & lots of people & pups to go meet & greet ...

I do believe Boont was a bit bored with the music ....

This is Zorro, our almost 1 year old German Shepard. He's joining Mom and Dad for the maiden voyage of our new Rockwood 2104S. It was just a quick weekend trip to nearby Mustang Island State Park in Texas, but it was the dog's first trip to the beach. Like all kids, he was a bit wary of the water at first but quickly got the idea and was jumping around in the waves like a big dork.
We didn't bring our phones to the beach for obvious reason, but we did get a quick pic of him kicking back in the shade while we set up camp.

Decided to take the Sunseeker out for a spin yesterday. Actually, rode out to the local state park and used their dump station to clear out the black and gray tanks from all the water used to flush out the pink stuff. Also, figured we would gas it up for the upcoming camping trip. Took our new girls with us. First time they had been in the camper and all were looking for guidance.......

Tangie on the left, Cherry in the middle and Chatter on the right.

Queen of the Campsite

She claimed the RV as her domain the moment she set foot inside.
Then she celebrated with a little Guinness & relaxed.

It has been two years since my buddy passed. We have replaced the hardwood floors in the house. I want to meet another four legged soulmate really bad, even the DW does.

The DW reminds me that a youngster would be nothing but a little burnout of toenails on the floor throughout our house.
I am willing to deal with it, the DW not so much. Every time I see a post here my mind goes to thinking. LOL...

Sorry for the thread hijack, just me feeling really low while enjoying the pictures.

I don't think there's any one of us who has posted our pictures here that haven't felt like you have.
Our beloved Sasha died in our motor home while camping last October. I had told the DW previously I needed a break..... it hurt too much when one of our rescue furkids passed. I was really adamant about not having anymore 4-legged kids around. We got home from camping the day after Sasha died and that evening, both DW and I were on our computers looking for a furry personality to fill the void. It took us a couple months, but we're back to full strength - and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This will be our first time out with our adopted Miss Bailey who turns one today!

She can't do the three metal steps into our Flagstaff 27BHWS TT so we're scoping out ideas and solutions... seems a bit expensive to drop $100+ on a foldable ramp we're finding on Amazon but obviously she's worth it if that is our best bet for her.

Question for those with a ramp - does it snap into place next to the steps so you don't have to move it to get in yourself or do you just walk up the thing too?

Cheers and TIA!

Stella loves everything about camping but most of all she loves exploring, campfires and chasing rocks in streams.

Adopt an adult dog and they may be calmer for your DW. Lots of young and older adult dogs looking for a forever home. I do know that longing you feel. After our Maddie died, I wanted to adopt another dog rather quickly. DH and DD needed more time. That was a very long year and strange summer for me. We adopted our Capone and he took a real shine to camping.

She'll get it, just be patient. My Ruby at 9 mos. wouldn't go into the camper. Now at 11 mos. she trots right in. It helps having a bag of cookies waiting to treat her when she comes inside.
