Thumbs down Camping World, Grain Valley Mo.

I was very disappointed in the PDI from the above mentioned dealer. These were the most unknowledgeable folks I have seen in the RV industry. They kept looking at their watch as if they were in a hurry to leave, and leave is what they did! The wife and I were still there at 6:00 pm when all of them walked away, went to their cars, and drove by us on the way out at quitting time...Never showed us how to put the water filter in the unit, how to operate the winterizing water heater bypass valves and the sort, and when I asked where the battery disconnect switch was located, I was told to "just remove the negative cable"!!! Amazing. I ended up writing a note to Forest River Corporate and actually received a reply within an hour to their credit. We absolutely love the RV (Flagstaff 30WIKSS), as it is the "empty nester" model. The good thing is...the RV sold itself. I initially thought that may be an isolated incident. So we then went back two weeks later for some answers to new questions, and the same folks were reluctant to take us to the lot and answer our questions that we had over the last two weeks...still amazing when I think about it. The salesman never asked us if we were interested in any accessories as well (back up camera, slide out awnings, solar, etc). I know for a fact that I would have purchased some...Please beware of this place, and if you go, I hope you have better luck than I...Still looking to get the camera and slider covers though...

Seems to be how dealers do things these days. Our PDI was 15 minutes showed us how the lights worked stove radio awning and moved the slideout one time. Learned more from this forum site and FR techs that have the decency to answer questions on this site. Good luck.

This kind of treatment by dealerships really puzzles me. Don't they want you back sometime as a returning customer? do they think you will not tell others of your poor treatment by them?
We are about to pick up a slightly used Palomino Puma from our dealer in a few days. They tell us to be prepared for an approx. 2-3 hour PDI. I expect to learn a lot during that time. I hope to post a very positive review of this dealership experience..
Sorry to hear about the bad experiences you folks have had at these other dealerships.

This is a shame and you wonder how they stay in business. We are upgrading our our unit this summer and the dealer already told us they need the new unit a couple of days before we pick it up to check everything out, then expect to spend a few hours with them going over everything and explaining it all then spend a night or two in the lot in a full hook up area to test everything even more.

I purchased my 21FBRS from Peco in Tucker Georgia. That was a great experience. The PDI went through everything. Only thing they messed up was setting up the WDH. Went back a year later to trade in for my 27VRL, they had been bought by Campers Inn. Completely different. I had more answers than the PDI, was run more like a car lot...
