CW and other dealers will blame FR for the delay when it's actually them that's delaying things.

in fact, there's a couple of threads here about FR allowing dealers to order parts from anyone that can help expedite the repairs.
Okay, I'll contact them today. Ugh, I hope that's not the case.

I contacted Dan Dobecki in parts and got a voicemail. Hopefully, these parts were ordered. The thread regarding parts ordered through other dealers to expedite orders only applies to warranty service I believe. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ts-128623.html
That is not the case in our situation as we are past the warranty now.

Well, if you're past the warranty, they could have ordered the parts from anybody for the past million years. No new policy required.

The repairs required original parts.

Good news. I received an email this morning from Mike Jankowski at FR letting me know that the parts were ordered from CW. FR is waiting on a shipment from their vendor.

So what? Very few parts are "original" from FR. FR gets them from Lippert or Dexter, or Coleman, or Dometic, or somebody else.

That's why FR has now changed their policy to let dealers order "warranty" parts direct from the manufacturer (or anybody else that has them in stock) rather than having to go through FR.

So being out of warranty means dealers never had to order them from FR in the first place.
