Camping World Service Dept, Mesa, AZ

I purchased a new 5th wheel from Camping World in Mesa, AZ in March, returned home 750 miles from Mesa and have a serious leak in one landing gear jack. I have called several times, sent emails with pictures and can not get my service advisor to respond. Very frustrating.

So find a certified independent that handles warranty work. Unless you are planning a trip back to Mesa.

We never buy local and had warranty work done several places out west. Affordable RV Service in Las Vegas was one. I'm sure there is something similar in Reno.

Good luck!

Thanks. It seemed an easy fix but I guess not to Camping World.

My experience with out local CW (Rossford, Ohio) is they call someone to change the light bulbs in the building because they lack the skill to do it........

cramping whirrled

When we were looking at a camper, we went to the C.W. in Mesa. They never offered to help us even look, despite several trips. The first few times, we thought, this is great, we get to look without "them" hovering and circling like buzzards at a kill! On our final visit, we were interested in a unit they had, waited and asked several times for assistance, then left after receiving none. Maybe it was me wearing jeans? LOL

Went next door to Desert Autoplex, who was having a grand opening. Despite them being busy, they helped us. We ended up getting their "come-on-the-lot-grand-opening special. We were not ready to buy, but could NOT pass up the deal!

Been back several times and they have been great. I will admit, they did have some start-up problems with getting the PDI items taken care of, but they have since more than made up for that!

Sorry for your trouble with this dealership. I suggest emailing the CEO
Marcus Lemonis and let him know. Google his name for a contact info. Mesa is not the only location who sells and getting service is like pulling teeth. And yet others are reported to be OK.

CW service seems to be a crap shoot depending on location . I have had great service from CW in Myrtle Beach SC. The family across from me now bought a Mallard TT from CW ~~ a 300 mile trip from their home in Nebraska. 1st trip the found a water leak and took it back. 2nd trip found a different leak ~~ CW sent a tech to their home, TWICE. Location, but wish my CW was like that even though they are very good.

Par for the course at CW. Craftsmanship is a thing of the past at the manufacturers and CW. There are service personal at many CWs that are very good but they get the tough jobs and high end RVs and as we all can see there is plenty of poorly assembled RVs.

Check with Anthem RV in the Phoenix area... they may be a little far for you, but they are outstanding people.

Leaking Landing gear on Cedar Creek Silverback

After almost 3 months of waiting for warranty work to be completed by a local dealer I am back on the road. My left front landing gear was leaking fluid severly and as mentioned before I could not get the Mesa, AZ Camping World service people to respond, I turned to Michael Hohl RV Service here in Reno. The first appointment was a month out, the unit sat in their lot for 3 weeks before they even looked at it, ordered a new landing gear 3 times until they got the correct one (my unit requires two right leg landing gears rather than a left and a right because a left landing gear would interfer with the battery box. During the last phase of the replacement, they ran my unit into a building and cracked the shroud on the rear air conditioner which took almost 2 weeks to get.

Interesting LONG video

Website ranks Camping World second worst in customer complaints – RV Travel

Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and watch this video about one customers experience with camping world on getting a new toy hauler service.

CW (Camping World) and good RV Service....an oxymoron.

And as far as contacting Marcus Lemonis to alert him....the man can’t even spell RV. It’s just a business he owns.

BTW...in a 2 hour deposition of the lawsuits against Camping World...he admitted never having owned an RV...so don’t expect him to feel your/our pain.

See the video on YouTube. Sad situation we have.
