Camping World St. Louis - Service?

I could write a book about my experience with CW service. The book would be classified as a horror story. I bought my new camper from them a year and a half ago and it has been sitting on their lot for about half that time waiting for service. All warranty work. They have now had it for two months and not a peep out of them and they were only supposed to have it for three weeks. Unfortunately this was totally expected. If I didn't call them for status updates I really don't know if I would ever hear from them again and every time I call it get the same old lines about waiting for this or that. I'm really curious to hear if others have shared similar experiences with them. I am at wits end and thought it would help to write it down.

How have they been for you?

I think this is the first I've read about St. Louis, but camping world in general does not receive many rave reviews for their service. The usual guidance here is to take your RV to a private RV service for warranty work.

I think I'd cut my losses and give Byerly a call.

Know the frustration you are going through. That is why (in most cases) I have them send me the parts and I'll fix it myself. Not keeping you informed of the warranty work in progress inexcusable in my opinion. But hey, at least you don't have to pay for storage Hope everything works out for you!

Byerly isn’t what it used to be, sold a damaged camper and then despite being within 90 day inspection period when I pointed it out to them they said responsibility for any warranty claim fight is on me as the customer. Their inspections aren’t inspections anymore either...rather it’s a fix what the customer has found and ignore everything else, couldn’t even be bothered to check the torque on the tires. Sales team loves to promise they’ll take care of the customer but parts and service could care less.

Have you gone to the GoodSam Forum and posted the problem in their service thread. It may do some good or not but it doesn't hurt to try.
Also, Marcus Lemonis supposedly has a direct tell Marcus email: MarcusVIP@campingworld.com or a toll free # 866-232-8990.
Whether it helps or not could be debatable but worth a shot if you haven't already.
