Neutral: Forest River Warranty Work

I just bought a new 30' - 2017 FR3 out in Ohio at Colerain RV.. On the trip back home to NJ I discovered that the cab AC did not work ( on a brand new unit !). I brought it to a Ford dealer in NJ and they said their end of the system worked. Forest River dealers out here won't honor warranty work. Anyone know of a good shop that will do Forest River warranty work in NJ ?

Have you contacted FR for shop recommendations?
Have you asked any independent RV shops if they'll do FR warranty work?

I contacted FR. they gave me recommendations but had no clout with them. (ie: they couldn't make them do warranty work).. dealers out here say that if I didn't buy it from them (even tho' they sell FR) they won't do warranty work. I was disappointed and frustrated that FR had no influence, particularly since this was a problem right out of the box !

I don't know where in New Jersey you are but a Google search for mobile RV repair will help. I just moved down to Florida and had no problem getting warranty work done on a 2016 Columbus fifth wheel. They came out, ordered the parts and all done within 2 weeks. All okayed by Forest River. Forget the dealers. Obviously none of them want your business when you go to buy your second one.

I mentioned independent RV shops.
You can be reimbursed for them to do the warranty work but you have to get pre-approval, from FR, of the repair costs.

If you are in north Jersey, try Alpin Haus in Port Jervis, NY. They don't sell FR3's, but no harm in giving them a call.

Down here, most CWs will do the warranty work but don't expect any preferential treatment. They take long enough with their own customers' repair work.
