That does suck, especially, trusting a Rockwood Dealer and then getting burnt.
We went through a fairly big warranty issue last month and had a much better experience. The thing we did differently, was before taking it to a dealer, we first contacted Kelly Mosher of the Rockwood Warranty Department and she gave names of dealers that were close by. As it turned out none of them were that close so she gave permission to use a nearby RV dealer/shop that was independent. I took it in the next day and the shop got the warranty approval that day. All the while I was communicating with Kelly Mosher so I knew what was happening on the Rockwood warranty side of things. Since it is an independent shop, I did have to pay up front and then be reimbursed by Rockwood but that was OK with me. There would have been about a week wait for the parts coming from Lippert but again, Kelly Mosher in the Rockwood Warranty department was able to track down the parts at the Rockwood factory. They were going to ship them which would have been about 2-3 days because the weekend was coming up. Instead they allowed me to come to the factory to pick up the parts and reimbursed me for the gas and tolls. I don't know if this is all Kelly Mosher or normal Rockwood Warranty Customer service but I am more than pleased with the outcome. Also have to mention the Independent Dealer/Shop was great and got the TT in right away and put the parts in right away. Most of this transpired on Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday took the TT in to the shop, picked up the parts Thursday and was back on the road before noon on Friday. If you even need service in Amana IA, I would highly recommend ATC RV Center in Walford, great people and service.
