Stay Away from Campers Inn Myrtle Beach, SC

So I purchased a New Forester 3011ds from Campers Inn of Raleigh. The coach itself was located at their Myrtle Beach location. Even though I could have traveled farther to either GA or even MD to get a better deal at different dealership, I decided to pay some more money to buy from Campers Inn so if a problem came up I could easily take it back to dealership for repair. This wasn't the case!!!

After having a deal already with my salesman from Raleigh location, The salesman from the Myrtle Beach location tried to raise the price on me!

When picking up the unit they didn't even have a Technician do a walk through with me. The nice gentleman who did the walk through even said he was not a tech and only towed trailers around for them!! Questions I asked he didn't have answers to and would have to call someone and some questions never even got answered! This was a huge Red Flag and I should have walked away then but my family and I were excited for our new purchase and emotions got the best of us.

Their finance guy is not a man of his word!!! I have been hounding him to send me something I forgot when leaving there and it's been weeks and still nothing!! He even gave me a bogus tracking number that doesn't even work!!! I am glad when leaving I asked him for the extra set of keys since they were not with everything. I probably would have never received those from him either!!!!

This was a brand new RV and a back to a remote was missing, HDMI cable to TV was missing, leak in window, door didn't close flush, and more!! I thought some of these things would have been checked before pick up???

So here I am needing warranty work and decided to take it to a different dealership. There goes the saving money part to take it back to Campers Inn.
When in Howards RV(a totally different dealership) for work, I told them I smelled propane gas. They checked and made a $220 repair because Campers Inn didn't even have a professional tech do the install for a option I added for a quick connect grill!!! Yes people this means if there was a spark my brand New RV would have blown up!!! Just thinking about that and my family's safety is scary!!!!!!
Please learn from my mistakes!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM CAMPERS INN MYRTLE BEACH SC

Not completely surprised. We looked at a Vengeance last year at Camper's Inn in Kings Mountain, NC. I definitely got that "Camping World Sales" feeling.

Fortunately, another dealership had the exact same unit and beat Camper's Inn best price by $5000.

In shopping for a new class A we too have visited a few Campers Inn middle atlantic and southeast locations. Seems it is a loose congomeration of formerly "family owned" franchise operations, just like CW. Different locations carry different brands/lines, they do not do dealer exchanges, sales and service facilities vary greatly, as do the attitudes of the salespeople. Came awy from most of them with that "slimy" feeling. Not impressed.
