Where are the reputable FR dealers in Texas?

The forum has been great reading. Thank you all for the contributions. What concerns me is I am finding few, if any, reputable dealers in Texas. Most of the positive feedback are for those which are out of state 1k-2k miles away in the North or Northeast. What gives? Looking for Rockwood Sig UL ~Rich

We bought from United RV in Ft. Worth Texas. They were very good and we a couple of things to repair. They got on it as fast as they could. The one thing I really enjoyed, was if they could not get to it fast enough, they would let me take the rv and go camping and bring it back on a certain date to get repaired. They were very good at communicating what's going on.

We had a great experience with Fun Town RV, in Cleburne. They even had the factory add some options that are not available on our model.

Reputable Dealers

United, I think, was listed in the top 50 US dealers. Fun Town has several posts with folks complaining about the service. I have seen a few good ones about the Cleburne site but the other Fun Towns, to include the Cleburne site, have been hit with negative responses mostly to service after the sale.

We bought our FR Georgetown 328TS from MHS RV in Alvarado TX. South of Dallas. Good experience there.

Stay far, far away from any McClain's except the Sanger location, horrible customer service!

We "purchased" our 2014 Sandpiper April of 2013 from a dealer in the Corpus Christi area of Texas. We got very good price and were happy with that. Now having said that, the pdi was less than sparkling and we basically read all the manuals after and took notes during the pdi. On our shakedown we were lucky to be parked by very nice folks that gave us some good direction on several items.
During the one year (we were not offered the 2nd year, nor did we we know about FROG) warranty a few items needed to be addressed.

We were not pleased with the work nor the attitude of the service people and have had furthur work done at the international rally in Goshen by the factory techs and Sandpiper factory folks who absolutely know their business IMO.

I would be reluctant to take anything to our purchasing dealer unless it was at the point of a gun.
As far as Fun Town and their locations, my contacts at FR have told me corporate puts up with FT and their shenanigans because they order alot of iron from them and periodically send techs from Indiana to Texas to train their folks for various reasons.

If I could afford it and had the knowledge beyond a DIYer, I would open a local shop. On top of that I would have open bay times where people could come in and work on their own rigs supervised by the staff. Military installations have DIY garages with tool and lift rentals for those who can and want to save money.

You're going to get 50 opinions from 50 people. Just follow your own good judgement.
As far as Fun Town, FR Corporate "puts up" with them because they are the biggest towable dealer in the US. Maybe there is a reason for that.

Bennett's RV in Granbury. They were absolutely great when we bought our SolAire. They are small but family owned. Took care of our warranty problems right away and were very cheerful. We would definitely buy from them again.

Excellent dealership located 28 miles south of Fort Worth. I have dealt with them for 15 years. They are in fact a "home grown" dealership since the seventies. VERY ethical and no pressure selling allowed! They do not sell the FR line. I have attached their website for brands, etc. They also have an RV park directly to the rear of their premises for any one to pay/use. bennettsrv.com/

Positive: United RV Ft. Worth

Bought a 2013 Kodiac then a 2016 Wildcat. They beat RV Wholesalers and other ones like that by several thousands. Their service at and after the sales has been superb. Can't say enough good things about their manager Phil and his excellent crew.

I've had an overall positive at FunTown Waco but dealing with FR has been like pulling teeth. I had a 2014 Wildcat that was bought back and a 2014 Silverback that was sent back to the factory.

It has taken a lot of work to get to the point of how it should have left the factory. After the factory work I am now satisfied with our unit. I believe that Funtown was key in making it happen.

Couldn't agree more! They made us feel right at home. They do sell FR but under the Palomino label. Our Palomino SolAire has FR stickers on it.

A lot of truth in this. Don't base your decision on one or two reviews.

I also used Fun Town in Cleburne, and was very pleased, but then I've not had warranty work performed either. Lots of great dealers around the state.

Sales I think you will get good service most places, it is after the sale and more importantly service and warranty work when needed. It sounds like there are a few really good service centers especially those who some of you return to year after year

We have been very pleased with Longhorn RV in Mineola, Texas. Everyone has been very professional and very patient with our questions and concerns.

How about service after the sale. Who do you all recommend within the state?
