Campingguy, I'm wondering the same....I think I will be calling FR on monday so we know for sure. You would think that with how expensive these units are the manuals would be a bit more helpful.

We have a 2013 Sabre 32RCTS, on our first trip when dumping the tanks, I found there where only 2 dump handles under the 5th wheel, but 3 tank indicators. After travelling from Alberta to North Dakota, the indicator on one of the grey tanks was indicating higher contents, eventually we found grey water baking up into the kitchen sink. Turns out there were 3 tanks, 2 grey and 1 black, but the 2nd grey tank didn't have a handle connected to the dump valve, and the valve was covered by the plastic protector underneath the floor. We stopped in at a Palomino dealer and found the same model 5th wheel, which showed us where the 3rd dump valve was. Cut open the plastic floor covering and there was the dumpvalve without a handle.

I have a 831FKBSS which supposedly has 2 gray water tanks. It appears from the gauges, that the tanks are in fact there and separate as they seem to fill at different rates, but there is only one gray water dump valve. I haven't pulled the bottom off to have a look at the plumbing to see if there is actually 2 tanks, but I'm certainly curious as to how this is done with one valve. Check valves????
Lots of good information on this site, keep up the good work administrators.
Cheers Ed

Well we confirmed that we have at least 2 grays and 1 black. After breaking camp, dumping (and still reading full), and getting home I decided to take a 5 gallon bucket and fill our gray tank with water to see our capacity. The kitchen sink over flowed at 7 gallons but I was able to put 40 gallons down the bathtub (tank 1 read 2/3). Pulled the tank valve and tank 1 emptied but 2 still read full and the kitchen sink didn't drain.

Crawled under TT and found a small silver valve. Pulled that, heard water move, but it didn't exit despite main gray valve open. Closed gray valve and pulled black. Viola! Empty tank!

Would have been nice to know that before our trip but now we do!

?

So...the second (kitchen) gray tank empties into the black tank? And what's its capacity?

No, I don't think it empties into the black tank. I think it empties into the pipe that comes off of the black tank so that's why we have to have that valve pulled to dump it.

I see...well since I have three handles myself (one black, one gray, one silver) perhaps I also have a second gray tank. Interesting. BTW, did you ever call Forest River for clarification?

No, never called. Just confirmed by filling the tanks and then dumping. Our sensors are still working (knock on wood) and read E.

My 320 has that as well and I was told they use the same lights system for all the rigs and that the others are not used in these rigs only the toy haulers or larger bunk house rigs have all those tanks active. hope that helps at least that's what I was told when I asked the same thing at the dealer.
