2009 Sabre 31RETS-6 Dimming Lights

At night time when we have the ceiling and wall lights on, they will gradually dim and then suddenly go bright, then start dimming again after a while, and so the cycle repeats. I guess this is because the lights work from the battery, and when the battery discharges to a certain point the charger kicks in for a while.

Question is how to prevent this light cycling. Would there be a problem in disconnecting the battery when we have 110v plugged in? In this case there should be a steady 12v supply from the charger unit to supply the lights.

Assuming the battery is fully charged when it is disconnected, is there any problem with this work-around?

Do you have the original battery? The reason I ask, is based on your signature your battery could be 6 years old and need replacing. Just an idea.

Good luck
