2013 Saber 34RLQS

On our 2013 Saber 34RLQS, we frequently have sewer gas smell entering our bathroom vent even when the fan is running. When I looked at the roof, the sewer vent is roughly a foot from the vent. This seems to be too close and it should be further away. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, what is the solution?

Do you smell the sewer gas only when flushing? Then turn off the fan when doing so as the smell is being drawn up from the black tank. Or is the smell there all the time? Our bath vent is exhaust only, it doesn't intake air so I doubt the smell is coming from the roof sewer vent.

It's when we flush the toilet, but it seemed to be coming in from the roof vent when wind is blowing from the sewer vent towards the roof vent (I'm 6'-6" so my nose is pretty close to the vent!). I'll try turning off the fan the next time out and see if it makes a difference.

Yeah the fan or vent cannot be on or open when flushing .......
It'll suck the fumes right up the toilet from black tank.

I installed one of these on my Sabre and it really helped keeping the smell down:
